November's MCC Wellness Council Calendar

It's only the beginning of November, but we're already being bombarded with the temptations of the upcoming holiday season. . .

Don't fear! The MCC Wellness Council is here to help you make the season a little healthier.

First, if you'd like to get rid of all your extra Halloween candy before it becomes extra pounds, bring it in before November 9 and deliver it to Sarah Benedict in the President's Office. To support Operation Gratitude's Halloween Candy Give-Back Program, Sarah will transport the candy to a local, designated drop-off location, and it will ultimately be sent to our troops.

Next, get motivated to keep off those extra pounds that tend to appear during the holidays by participating in the Wellness Council's second annual Project Zero! The program begins on November 14 and runs through the beginning of January 2019. Participants who maintain their weight throughout that time period will receive a prize in addition to feeling great about their accomplishments! For more information, check the daily MCC Tribune or contact us at MCCWellness@monroecc.edu.

Finally, on November 14, you might want to take time to relax at the African American Affinity Group's Meditation Workshop (Downtown Campus) or learn a life-saving skill by attending Narcan Training (Brighton Campus). Times and locations can be found on the attached calendar.

As always, the MCC Wellness Council wishes you and yours a safe, happy, and healthy month.
