Poetry Lecture in Library


The Leroy V. Good Library (Brighton campus) will be hosting a lecture today, Wednesday, April 4, 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. Associate Professor Tony Leuzzi will be speaking on “In, Over, Through: Embracing Influence When Writing Poems.” The lecture will be located on the 4th floor of the library, outside of room 2-452.

Tony Leuzzi is an Associate Professor of English at Monroe Community College, where he teaches a wide range of literature courses, creative writing workshops, and basic composition.  The recipient of both the NISOD and Wesley T. Hansen awards for excellence in teaching, he has also served as the Coordinator of the College's Writing Across the Curriculum Program since 2002. As a poet, he has written three books of poetry, including Radiant Losses, which won the New Sins Editor's Prize in 2009, and Fake Book, which saw a limited release by Anything Anymore Anywhere UK press in 2011. He has also gathered his interviews with American poets into a collection called Passwords Primeval, which will be released by BOA Editions in fall 2012.
