MCC Daily Tribune

Greetings of Gratitude

Thank you notes from across the campus continue to roll-in. The link is still open, so please submit your thank you here!!!

Sean Flesch, Communication and Network Services, was nominated because, "Sean remotely spent a great deal of time helping me get set up at home to work with students. His kindness and patience with me at a time when I needed help will never be forgotten. We are so fortunate to have such a fine and knowledgeable person on our campus!" And, because, "Sean was quick to respond with a phone call, when I posted an email request in the Technology Help Tab. He walked me step by step in how to install the VPN access from home to my campus desktop functions. He was very patient and knowledgeable in other technology questions I had, too. Sean and I go way back to working together at the Damon Campus, so it was nice to have a familiar co-worker and friend on the line to help in a time of uncertainty and frustration. I really appreciated Sean's assistance."

Department Chairs, because, "As we rollout a fully distance learning model for MCC, our department chairs have been on the frontline of communicating and implementing our rapidly shifting direction. On a good day, department chairs shoulder a wide variety of responsibilities; in the current environment, those responsibilities have been magnified. Chairs are the first people faculty turn to with questions and there have been many, many questions. We rely on our chairs to communicate necessary information in a timely fashion and to act as liaisons between administration and faculty. The chairs and their response to this situation allowed us to be in a position to more fully serve our students. A big thank you to all of our department chairs!!"

John Giannetti, ATC Tooling and Machining, " I just want to thank John for all the work he's done to make this transition as smooth and seamless as possible. We are all primarily hands on instructors who work in lab environments and switching to online has been quite a challenge for most of us. He has dedicated hours and days of his time get us up to speed. Thanks John" And, because "John has done an outstanding job in getting our tooling and Machining program online so the students can continue with their education through these tough times. He has set up all the accounts with Tooling U an online educational system with classes in the trade. He is very patient and is a lifesaver........"
