Post Open Enrollment - What to Expect?

Here are the items you need to verify post Open Enrollment:

New Insurance cards:  Everyone participating in MCC medical coverage will receive a new medical insurance card.  It is important that you verify the plan name and copays listed on the card match the plan you have rolled into the new year or elected during Open Enrollment.

Prescriptions:

  1. Current cards will not work when obtaining prescriptions after 12/31/22.  You will need to use your new card effective 1/1/23.  If receiving prescriptions via mail order, you will need to contact the mail order company (Wegmans or Express Scripts) and provide your new insurance card information.
  2. SaveOnSP Program (Specialty Pharmacy):  Excellus recently identified and sent a letter to MCC healthcare participants that currently take Tier 3 specialty medications.  This letter provided information regarding the SaveOnSP specialty pharmacy program being added to our healthcare plans for 2023.  Participants are asked to enroll in the program prior to January 1st.  For more information, please see the SaveOnSP Program FAQ.  A Tier 3 Specialty Medication list is available on the Employee Benefit tile under Human Resources.  Excellus will be sending another mailing to participants to remind them to enroll in the program prior to January 1st.
  3. New Wegmans Rx copay reduction:  Effective 1/1/23, all prescriptions filled by Wegmans (in-store or mail order) will automatically receive an additional $5 off the copay under all MCC health plans.  No enrollment is necessary. Using Wegmans pharmacy is optional.

Flexible Spending BRi Beniversal Card (FSA): New FSA cards are being mailed to some participants at this time depending on if the card is due to expire. If you have not received a new Beniversal card, verify the expiration date of your current card.  If your card is expiring soon and you have not received a new card by 12/10/22, please contact Human Resources at 585-292-2048 or via email hr@monroecce.edu.

Haven’t made your 2023 FSA election? The FSA Open Enrollment electronic link is available through Friday, December 2nd; see the November 3rd Open Enrollment Daily Tribune article for more information.

Note:  You will receive a confirmation email from BRi if you have successfully completed your 2023 FSA election.  No FSA elections will be accepted after December 2nd.

Reminder: When enrolling or requesting changes to your benefits, be sure to verify these changes on your pay stub in the first pay period of January.  If you have enrolled in a new health or dental plan, you will receive insurance cards; verify the plan and copays align with your enrollment request.
