Our new portal "Did you know" series: What's the Status of the New Portal?

Over the past several months students and professionals across the college have partnered with the MCC APPLIED team to work tirelessly with our vendor to create integrations that will ensure ease of use and functionality for staff, students, and guests.

We will be piloting the new portal starting on June 2nd, 2022. With this date quickly closing in on us, it's important that you stay abreast of the most current happenings in the development of the portal.

Right now, MCC Applied has a team of staff and students that are working with the vendor, Ex Libris/campusM, to ensure that all of the student facing business content in both the portal and our current mobile app, are present in the new system.

Additionally, we are knee deep in designing the look of the portal. The campusM staff has been very responsive and their designer is working to ensure that the look is well thought out, easy to use, and visually appealing.

There are multiple teams working to ensure that this is the best possible replacement for myMCC. We are currently running two committees and have a group of student interns that are assisting us. The Integration Team is working on testing all of the current MCC technology system to make sure that they work well with campusM. The Implementation Team is helping to create the necessary content for the portal and also building a training plan to assist our community with the switch to this new technology.  Additionally, Colin Canfield is leading a group of student interns to help flush out the content and to build the system. It's a lot of work, but we have amazing people on these teams.

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to anyone on the Title III/MCC Applied team. They are as follows-

Elizabeth Baxter, Title III/MCC Applied Director
Michael Rehbaum, Title III/MCC Applied Coordinator
Colin Canfield, Title III/MCC Applied IT Specialist
