Telecommuting Pilot Program Guidelines; Electronic Application Available on Monday, November 8

With the support of Dr. Burt-Nanna, Cabinet, the CSEA, and the FA, MCC is moving forward with a Telecommuting Pilot.  Telecommuting is an alternate work arrangement that allows employees to conduct some of their work away from the official work site. The purpose of the Telecommuting Pilot is to create space for the College community to explore an alternative work arrangement while maintaining our collective focus on student success and meeting the College's operational needs. The pilot structure is based upon a model also being piloted at SUNY State-operated campuses. MCC employees will be able to submit an application for approval to work remotely up to 5 days per pay period.

Attached please find a copy of the Telecommuting Program Pilot Guidelines.  This document will also be posted in myMCC.  Additionally, a document is attached that may be a helpful resource to supervisors reviewing requests.

The electronic application will be available on Monday, November 8 in myMCC.

Note: With the implementation of this pilot, the existing Temporary Telecommuting Protocol is withdrawn.  Individuals who submitted requests through that protocol are advised to submit applications via the Telecommuting Pilot Program electronic application if they wish to participate.

Information about Zoom Q&A sessions for supervisors and employees will be shared next week if necessary.  In the meantime, questions may be directed to Kristin Lowe, Human Resources.
