Save June 13th for Professional Development Workshop!

The Faculty Senate and Human Resources Department are hoping you will save Wednesday, June 13 for a workshop themed around Strengthening Our Culture through Communication and Innovation. Lunch will be provided.

The day begins with registration and coffee in Monroe A and B at 9:30 am. We will be introducing our wonderful keynote speaker, Dr. Dennis Boike, Ph.D. at approximately 10:20 am. His topic includes Megatrends in American Culture which affect all of us.

Dr. Boike is well known in our community and beyond not only as an individual therapist but as a clinical consultant to industry and education on stress management, dealing with difficult employees and colleagues, conflict management, the psychology of achievement, self-esteem enhancement, and other organizational issues. He will focus on  the development of psychological hardiness that can help individuals, groups and organizations deal positively with change, growth, and challenges.

Dr. Boike will speak for approximately an hour and answer questions before lunch.

After lunch, we will reconvene for activities and events, including  some ways to “Creating We”  and a panel discussion focusing specifically on MCC’s culture. The day will conclude around 4:15 pm.

So please plan to join us for an informative and fun day with your colleagues. Look in the Daily Tribune for registration information and more detailed information.
