Are you considering nominating a colleague for one of the MCC or SUNY Awards? Following is a brief description of each award and its approximate submission date.
NISOD Award: This is the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development Award. The intent of this award is to recognize full-time teaching and professional faculty who are junior in their field. These individuals will have gone beyond their job responsibilities to make our MCC Campuses better places to learn and to work.
The submission date for this award is Monday October 26, 2009
Chancellor’s Awards: These are the most prestigious awards granted by the SUNY system and are awarded to individuals with a strong record of consistent performance and consistently superior accomplishments in Teaching, Librarianship, Professional Service, and Scholarship and Creative Activities.
The submission date for these awards will be early in December, 2009
Hanson Award for Teaching Excellence: This award is granted for demonstrated excellence in teaching, accompanied by superb performance in fulfilling their job description. The award is limited to full-time tenured faculty.
The submission date for this award will be early in March, 2010
MCC Award for Excellence in Professional Service: This award is intended for Administrators, counselors, librarians, and other Professional Staff demonstrating superb performance in their job.
