Wegmans Renews Grant to RPN

The Rochester Parent Network (RPN), a community collaboration administered by Monroe Community College, is pleased to announce that Wegmans has renewed its annual support for $20,000 for 2004-2005.

Jim Coffey, VaPA, who also serves as RPN president, met with Wegmans representatives on June 8 to inform them of progress made during the past year to educate the community regarding the importance of the age “0-3 window” for childhood development. He also reviewed current projects, such as upcoming launch of the “How I Grow” television series and a public service campaign.

Wegmans’ support of RPN initiatives goes well beyond financial resources. Community Affairs Manager Linda Lovejoy is an active member of the RPN Marketing Committee. Lovejoy’s participation has helped to forge new partnerships with the Advertising Council of Rochester and Strong Museum for the upcoming year.
