Announcing the Human Rights Education Fellows Program

Monroe Community College's Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project (HGHRP) is proud to announce the Human Rights Education Fellows program. This groundbreaking affiliation is unprecedented in the SUNY system and identifies MCC as a premiere institution in Holocaust and human rights education. Through completion of at least nine hours of pedagogical training in human rights education through the HGHRP's annual human rights workshops, each of the 29 Fellows in this inaugural group of faculty and staff have evidenced dedication to the scholarship and application of human rights education. Together they aim to provide students with the ethical framework necessary for participating in various communities as globally competent citizens while fulfilling MCC's mission to "build global engagement and understanding." These pioneers will continue to grow human rights education across the College and establish approaches and materials accessible by educators around the world. Please join us in congratulating these members of the MCC community, who are featured in the attachment:
