REMINDER: WAC Annual Faculty Workshop

The Writing Across the Curriculum Committee will hold its annual Faculty Workshop, in connection with the College’s Teaching and Creativity Center. The format for this year’s workshop will be a panel discussion, featuring five professors from a variety of academic areas.  Susan Belair (Sociology), Paul D’Alessandris (Physics), Mary Disano (Chemistry/Geo-Sciences), Mark McKinzie (Mathematics) and Heather Williams (English/Philosophy) will speak about issues and ideas related to writing-intensive instruction and answer questions from the participants. Our moderator, Nayda Pares-Kane (Sociology), will facilitate the discussion and question-answer session.

This workshop will take place on Wednesday, November 19, 2003, in 11-306, from 12-12:50 PM. It is designed for anyone teaching (or interested in teaching) writing-intensive classes. We encourage your attendance and hope that, through an increased awareness of writing-intensive instruction, the Writing Across the Curriculum program will continue to thrive at the College.

If you have any questions, please contact Tony Leuzzi, the Writing Across the Curriculum Coordinator, at 292-3392 or HYPERLINK "mailto:aleuzzi@monroecc.edu" aleuzzi@monroecc.edu.
