Don’t miss your chance to learn more about the experiences of, and services for, refugees who are your neighbors, colleagues, fellow students, and potential clients. “New Land, New Home, New Life: Refugees’ Experiences and Services,” a panel presentation sponsored by the MCC Diversity Council, takes place this Tuesday, April 17, from 3:30-5:00 PM in the Warshof Conference Center, Flynn Campus Center, Empire Room (3-209) on the Brighton Campus. The presentation is free and open to the public.
The following experts will talk about the experiences of refugees and Rochester-area services for all refugees: Danielle Taana Smith, associate professor, RIT; Jim Morris, director, Refugee Resettlement Services, Catholic Family Services; Jay Piper, principal, RCSD School No. 15, The Children’s School of Rochester; Jim Sutton, director of the Office of Community Medicine, Rochester General Health System. Join us for a program that complements several other events presented at MCC this spring!
