Link one of your courses to REA 100, Reading and Thinking in the Disciplines, and see your students:

·         Read and annotate assigned texts
·         Think deeply about the concepts and approaches in your discipline
·         Engage in meaningful academic discourse
·         Present on each chapter’s learning objectives
·         Create outlines and other graphic organizers of course content
·         Summarize key ideas in your field of study
·         Apply cognitive and metacognitive strategies that will transfer to other courses

So far, 4 sections of REA 100 are being offered for Fall 2013:

Three on the Brighton Campus

REA 100-001 (#19541), Reading and Thinking in Mathematics, linked with MTH 098-038 (#15325) in a 1 to 1 learning community.  All students must enroll in both courses.

REA 100-002 (#19542) or 003 (#19543), Reading and Thinking in Psychology, linked with PSY 101-009 (#10171) in a 2 to 1 learning community.  All PSY 101-009 students will enroll in 1 of the 2 REA 100 sections. 

One at the Damon City Campus

REA 100-CC1 (#19562), Reading and Thinking in Psychology, linked with PSY 101-CC1 (#18436) or CC3 (#10144) in a different kind of 2 to 1 learning community.  All REA 100-CC1 students will enroll in 1 of the 2 PSY sections.
