MCC Holding Line on Tuition

Monroe Community College is holding the line on tuition in 2005-06.

“Thanks to the New York State Legislature and specifically our local delegation, we can assure our students that they will not see an increase in tuition next year,” said President R. Thomas Flynn.

MCC increased tuition last year for the first time in seven years. Tuition is $2,600 per year for New York state residents.

An on-time state budget that increased support to community colleges by $115 per full-time equivalent student allows the college to announce now that tuition will remain stable in 2005-06. The increase translates to about $1.6 million more in state funding for MCC.
