California, Here We Come - GEO 295/BIO 195, Spring and Summer 2017

Join this year's Field Studies course, and see how Life and Landscapes are related.  GEO 295 and BIO 195 will be combining efforts this year in a four-credit, SUNY Gen Ed Natural Science offering, studying how geologic processes have created diverse landscapes where wide varieties of life have developed.  Ranging from where the San Andreas fault enters the ocean, to the highest (Mt. Whitney) and lowest (Death Valley) elevations in the lower 48, as well as the tallest (Redwoods) biggest (Sequoia) and oldest (Bristlecone) living things, the topics covered by the lab portion of this course offers our widest range of field experiences yet.  To learn more, contact one of the two instructors: Dan Robertson <mailto:drobertson@monroecc.edu> ) for GEO 295 or Suzanne Long <mailto:slong@monroecc.edu> ) for BIO 195--or attend one of the two scheduled information sessions: Wednesday, November 9 from 12 - 1 in 11-309, or Thursday, November 10 from 12-1, in 11-309.

Hope to see you there,

Dan and Suzanne
