Win an IPOD or Flash Drive!

The Libraries are conducting an online survey (known as “LibQUAL”) to help us better understand how well we serve our users, and your answers are very important to us. Also, if you complete the survey, your name will be included in an optional drawing to win one of 6 IPODS or 6 Flash drives! In order to be eligible for a prize, you must post your MCC e-mail address or M # at the end of the survey.

The survey, which takes about 12 minutes to complete, will be available from October 23 (today!) through November 10 at the following link: <<https://survey.libqual.org/index.cfm?ID=607747>>. Please complete the survey and help us to concentrate improvements on the areas that you feel are important.

What is LibQUAL? According to the manufacturer, “LibQUAL+(TM) is a suite of services that libraries use to solicit, track, understand, and act upon users' opinions of service quality. These services are offered to the library community by the Association of Research Libraries ("https://www.arl.org/"). The program's centerpiece is a rigorously tested Web-based survey bundled with training that helps libraries assess and improve library services, change organizational culture, and market the library.…More than 500 libraries have participated in LibQUAL+(TM), including colleges and universities, community colleges, health sciences libraries, law libraries, and public libraries -- some through various consortia, others as independent participants. LibQUAL+(TM) has expanded internationally, with participating institutions in Canada, the U.K., and Europe. The growing LibQUAL+(TM) community of participants and its extensive dataset are rich resources for improving library services.”

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and let us know how you think we’re doing. Your answers are completely confidential and will only be used to help us improve our services.
