MCC women's basketball player Chena Parker and men's basketball player Jeron Belin were named the Athletes of the Week.
Parker had two big games as the Lady Tribunes won twice last week. The 6'3" sophomore tallied 10 points and seven rebounds in a 98-53 win over Alfred State on Thursday. She then added 23 points and 17 rebounds in a 98-30 victory over Niagara County Community College.
Belin, a 6'7" sophomore forward, averaged 23 points as the MCC men's basketball team went 3-0 to lock up the top seed at next weekend's Region III, Division II tournament. Belin had 20 points and four rebounds in a 91-80 win over Erie and 22 points and seven rebounds in an 89-79 victory over Alfred State. He finished the week with 27 points in a 94-86 win against Niagara CCC.
