TCC (Brighton): Creating a Culture of Respect 9/21 AND 9/24!
To prevent harassment, a culture must exist where individuals are treated as equals and treat one another with respect. Creating and maintaining an environment where individuals feel safe and respected is a collective responsibility that we share as members of this community. During this session, we will discuss how you can promote respect and fairness through your own words and actions, how you can be an active bystander and strategies you can use to speak up or intervene if you witness a student or employee engaging in behavior that is inappropriate or disrespectful, and how you can report instances of misconduct that you witness or hear about. We will spend time discussing specific scenarios, including how to respond to a student who discloses to you that they experienced an incident involving sexual misconduct.
