Please inform your students that the next Criminal Justice Club Meeting will be Wednesday, September 23rd at NOON in the Legal Learning Resource Center, room 4-160 (the computer lab by the Criminal Justice Faculty offices.)
At this meeting members) will:
1) hear from and vote on leadership roles (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary), and
2) gather ideas for future activities, guest speakers, field trips, etc.
Last year the club arranged for several guest speakers. (e.g., Tim Donaher, Monroe County Public Defender, Monroe County Deputy Sheriffs spoke on recruitment, Assistant District Attorneys spoke on careers in law, Steve Petro on Federal Government Career Path, etc.) Tours were also organized for the Public Safety Training Facility (Police Academy), Monroe County Jail, Office of Emergency Preparedness, etc.
