Carrots and Cake -- What's Not to Like?

“So if I have five pieces of carrot cake does that take care of my five vegetable servings for the day?” That was the question posed by Janet Dalke, Health and Physical Education, during MCC’s 2nd Annual Grand Carrot Cake Festival and Charity Event. “Let me ask Craig Rand,” she said.

Held on Tuesday afternoon, June 10, the Festival raised $220 for Musicians for World Harmony.  This agency organizes trips for musicians and donations of musical instruments to orphanages in East Africia.  The director, Samite, recently performed here at MCC sponsored by the Global Interest Group.

According to Tammy Dicks, Human Resources, “The carrot cakes were all scrumptious, ranging from the sublime to the divine.”
