Check Out a "Human Book" at the MCC Human Books Event Today (May 1)!

Today (May 1) is the big day! Come check out one (or more) of our amazing Human Books from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the LeRoy V. Good Library on the Brighton campus. These are conversations, not presentations--Human Books have a story to tell, and this is your chance to talk with some very interesting people.

This year's Human Books include a Holocaust survivor; a gay rights pioneer; a Zen Buddhist priest; a US Army and Navy veteran; a parent of a transgender child; a local author; a Yemeni women's rights advocate; Foodlink's community advocacy coordinator; and a variety of people who will talk about their ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds, including biracial, Muslim, indigenous, and Native American.
