<p>Starting Aug. 26--the first day of fall 2019 classes--full- and part-time MCC students* will have access to various transportation options: on-campus parking, Regional Transit Service (RTS) bus services, and Pace bike-sharing services.</p>

<p>The college's <a href="https://www.monroecc.edu/depts/parking/transportation/">transportation program</a> &lt;<a href="https://www.monroecc.edu/go/transportation">https://www.monroecc.edu/go/transportation</a>&gt; aims to give MCC students greater flexibility in their commutes depending on their needs and situations.</p>

<p>Students may park at any MCC location when the college is open and ride any RTS bus (U-Pass program) at any time during the 2019-20 academic year--including weekends, college breaks (e.g., Thanksgiving and the December/January holidays), and intersession. Students may also check out a Pace bike on and off campus using their smartphones. All transportation services are supported by the $75-per-semester transportation fee assessed to students.</p>

<p>Federal financial aid, scholarships, grants, loans and other resources available through MCC can be used to defray the cost for qualified students. (Please note: The New York State Tuition Assistance Program, TAP, cannot be used to cover the cost of the transportation fee.)</p>

<p>MCC's transportation program will not cover summer sessions. During this period, students can access bus transportation and Pace bikes by paying regular rates specified by RTS and Pace). Summer parking permits are available online. Parking permits for the fall semester also cover intersession.</p>

<p>*Some students--including those who take all their classes online or at the Public Safety Training Facility and those enrolled in dual-enrollment courses--are not assessed a transportation fee and are not eligible for the program. For these students, metered and pay-by-plate parking is available at both campuses. Bus transportation and Pace bikes can also be accessed by paying regular rates per ride.</p>

<p>4) Find a Pace bike at any rack within Monroe County--including those located on the Brighton Campus, Applied Technologies Center, and near the Downtown Campus--and start riding! Wearing a helmet and high-visibility clothing while riding is strongly recommended.</p>
<p>Effective Aug. 26-Nov. 1, 2019 (bikes removed before first snowfall); April 1-May 22, 2020.</p>
