Verdis Robinson, AHPS professor, has been accepted and will be attending Columbia University’s Institute for African-American Studies’ Summer Teachers and Scholars Institute this July. During this one-week intensive course, STSI participants will meet with and attend seminars facilitated by today’s leading scholars in African-American Studies. This year’s theme is “The Many Worlds of Black New York.” During the fall semester, he will be presenting on his scholarship concerning the Rochester-Harlem connection culminating in the Riots of July 1964 on both campuses.
