Faculty and Professional Staff Attend Online Teaching Conference

On January 26, 2021, the University of Buffalo’s Center for Educational Innovation hosted a webinar conference as part of their Lessons Learned: Online Teaching Series. The conference was titled “Moving Beyond Theory to Improve Student Practice.”

The keynote was delivered by Flower Darby, author of Small Teaching Online. She presented guiding frameworks for fostering community, and offered several “small teaching” tips for doing so. Her main message centered on the importance of designing for emotion and designing for inclusive social connections.
