The MCC Campus Center, and Political Science/Anthropology/History/Sociology, ESOL and Foreign Language departments are pleased to present:

The 9th Annual Model United Nations Program, Class and Conference

Applications are available now.  Deadline for applying is October 19, 2009.

Classes start in the spring 2010.

Conference runs from March 30th – April 4, 2010

We are currently looking for students who want to take part in an awarding-winning program that develops critical thinking, problem solving, social and communication skills.  This program is unique because:

·       The course is 4 credit hours.

·       Students will debate in New York City for one week at the Marriott Marquis Hotel and the United Nations.

·       Students will meet and work with students from all over the world at the largest collegiate conference in the world hosting more than 4,000 students from over 350 countries.

·       The program is student driven.

Faculty/staff  - this a great time to let your students know that they have an opportunity of a lifetime to take what they learn in the classroom and apply it to real-life experiences.  This program has changed students lives, helping them learn leadership skills and gain confidence in their daily lives, not to mention the growth that individual students experience.  If you know of any students you feel can benefit from being part of this program, please have them fill out an application and attend an informational session (dates for informational sessions are listed in the brochure).  If any of you have questions about the program, please do not hesitate to call the Campus Center 292-2534 or 292-2544.

Applications are available at the Campus Center Office 3-126 and the Damon City Campus.  Students can also go on the web to obtain information and an application <<https://www.monroecc.edu/go/modelun>>
