Toastmasters Speak at Gavel Club for Rochester Teens

MCC Toastmasters Club members Nancy Woodhams, Facilities, and Rosanna Condello, Public Affairs, presented to teen Toastmasters and members of the Gavel Club at the Rochester Business Alliance on March 3, 2004. The Gavel Club is a program within the PRIS2M initiative which is designed to increase the number of high school students of color prepared for careers in math, science, and technology fields by increasing their ability to complete high school with Regents' diplomas and pursue post-secondary education.

Woodham’s presentation focused on using vocal variety while speaking. Condello offered ideas on how to organize speeches to be persuasive.

The next meeting of the MCC Toastmasters Club will be held Tuesday, March 9 at the Damon City Campus, room 5-140. All are welcome!
