Fall 2018 Room Scheduling

    Before the majority of you leave for the summer, please look at the fall master schedule to review your room assignments. Faculty will be receiving an email notification for all campus-based courses they are assigned to and the rooms those courses are meeting in. We need faculty to review their rooms and notify us if there is a need to reassign their course or if the room is currently unassigned.

    Please submit your change request by using the classroom change request link under the "faculty essentials" tab on MyMCC. The sooner you review your room assignments and request any changes, the better. Several professors have request room changes already for the fall term, and preferred rooms are tight.

    Remember, rooms roll from like term to like term. Therefore, wherever that section was taught for fall 2017, that will be the room assignment for fall 2018. Also, rooms, furniture, and equipment do change from time to time. Lastly, I am not a teacher (thank goodness for students) so I do not know the equipment well like you do. Please be specific in the equipment you need on the online request form.

    Ask yourself:

    • Are you teaching a course in fall 2018?
    • Is your course in a room which meets your needs?
    • What do you need in a classroom in order to be successful? What do your students need? For example, you might need a document camera, chalk boards, etc...
