SUNY's 30 Days of Giving Campaign

The holiday season is upon us once again, and SUNY is inviting its campuses to participate in SUNY’s fourth annual 30 Days of Giving Campaign. This effort is always a great opportunity to showcase all of the meaningful projects SUNY students, faculty, and staff are involved in throughout the year.

The 30 Days of Giving campaign will begin on Thanksgiving and continue through December 25th. The goal is to share stories via the SUNY Blog, Twitter feed, and Facebook. This is an opportunity to recognize campuses for continuously making a difference in their communities <https://www.suny.edu/powerofsuny/vibrant-community/>  and throughout New York state. All 64 campuses are encouraged to share their story.

Help us tell the inspiring MCC story of giving! You know these stories better than anyone; draft a submission and send it to <mailto:marcom@monroecc.edu>  by Friday, Dec. 4. Each project submission should include a photo (preferably with students, employees, and community partners) and a short description of the project (1-2 paragraphs). Data regarding numbers of students involved, number of beneficiaries, hours served, etc. are always helpful to paint a picture of how giving SUNY truly is. A student/faculty quote is helpful if possible. In addition, please provide a point of contact for anyone interested in the project to find out more.

For ideas, here is a link to last year’s blog series: https://blog.suny.edu/2014/12/30-days-of-giving-2014-in-review-making-a-difference-in-our-communities/

The bonus? SUNY will also compile the images for the annual SUNY holiday card.

Questions? Send to <mailto:marcom@monroecc.edu>  .

P.S. The earlier we can submit our giving stories to SUNY, the greater our chances of being included. Don’t wait!
