Register Now for Annual Adjunct Faculty Development Night on January 15th

The Teaching & Creativity Center’s Annual Adjunct Faculty Development Night will be Thursday, January 15, 2015.  Please join us for dinner and a workshop from 5:00-7:00pm in the Warshof Conference Center's Monroe A and B. Dinner will be served at 5:00pm, with the program commencing at 5:20.  This January we are providing two different workshops to choose from:

Teachable Moments:  Bill Dunning and Mike Nolan will again join us with a new set of videos depicting classroom management scenarios. During this workshop we will engage in small group discussions to explore possible responses to these scenarios.

What To Do After Assigning a Reading: Techniques for Examining Text:  We require that students read articles, text chapters, and more but sometimes struggle to know how to frame the follow-up activity or discussion that leads students to think critically and engage deeply with the material they have read. In this workshop facilitated by Karen Coffey and Carlo Atene, participants will experience a variety of techniques for text-based discussions and develop an understanding of when each may be most effective.

Please RSVP to
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/adjfaculty_january15  by Thursday, January 8. When you RSVP, please indicate whether or not you will be attending the dinner as well as your workshop choice. If you can’t make it for dinner, feel free to come to the program starting at 5:20 pm. Parking for this event is in Lot M on the east side of campus.
