The following MCC students were recognized for their entries in the 2017-18 League for Innovation in the Community College's Student Literary Competition under the leadership of Central Piedmont Community College. This competition included 50 literary works submitted by students from across the League's board colleges.

  • Lucy Behr was awarded first place for her work of fiction, "A Cartographer's Home."
  • Martha Schermerhorn was awarded first place for her one-act play, "I Had a Crimson Robin."

Please join me in recognizing our students for their accomplishments and wishing them continued success.
