The Spring 2008 attendance memos have been sent to all department offices for distribution to faculty. You may start submitting attendance information in Banner immediately. Attendance collection is due By Tuesday, February 26th, PLEASE NOTE: The correct census date and withdrawal date for Spring 2008 full semester courses is February 11th and April 26th respectively, just as it appears on your attendance memo. The census date and the withdrawal date that appear on the bottom of the class rosters sent out on January 30th are incorrect. ( My spies tell me that they suspect Cupid might have been messing around in our validation tables!).
THREE STEPS TO EASY ATTENDANCE SUBMISSION:
1. Enter a 1 in the 'Attend Hours' field for every student attending your course. If you have thirty students enrolled and all are participating, then enter a 1 in every record.
2. If a student never attended the course, enter 0 in the 'Attend hours' field.
3. If a student stopped attending on or before the census date, enter the last attendance date in the 'Last Attend Date' field. Use MMDDYYYY format when entering the date.
Click submit to complete the process.
PLEASE REMEMBER WE ARE MANDATED TO COLLECT CENSUS-BASED ATTENDANCE FOR EVERY COURSE TAUGHT AT MCC. LATE OR MISSING ATTENDANCE DATA COSTS THE COLLEGE A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF MONEY EVERY TERM. This semester let's make it our goal to report all attendance by Friday, February 15th to ensure a worry free Winter Recess! :)

If you choose to enter a withdrawal (W grade), be sure to also enter a last date of attendance date in the 'Last Attend Date' field. Pay special attention to the withdrawal deadline date because students in attendance beyond this date do not qualify for a 'W' grade.
