Last semester MCC's new audiovisual hotline was established. This new extension is x2828 and is available from any MCC on-campus phone. Instructors can remember the number x2828 since it spells out xAVAV on the phone. This number can be used by both Brighton and Damon campuses and should be used for the following reasons:
· -To request immediate emergency help in a classroom due to any audiovisual needs (including Smart Classrooms)
· -To plan for and request in advance audiovisual equipment to be delivered to a classroom
· -To register for any of the Q-track training in audiovisual or Smart Classroom sessions
The menu items are navigated by the following:
· First choose your campus by pressing 1 for the Brighton Campus menu, or press 2 for the Damon Campus menu.
After which the following three choices are the same, and get routed to the correct person at the specific campus:
· Press 1 for Audiovisual emergencies
· Press 2 for placing an order for AV equipment to be delivered to your classroom
· Press 3 for training on any technology enhanced classroom space or any AV equipment
Please consider the new x2828 (xAVAV) system whenever you need assistance in the future.
