On February 26, Pam Kone, Applied Technologies, and Karen Frantz, Student Support Services, won the MCC Toastmasters Club’s annual Evaluation and International Speech contests respectively. The duo will go on to represent MCC at the Area 6 contests at the University of Rochester on March 7.
Both Kone and Frantz serve as officers of the club and are charter members. Kone has earned her Competent Toastmaster award. Frantz was among the first members of the club to earn an Advanced Communicator award and serve as an officer at the district level.
Kudos also to Diane Navarro Dawson, Instructional Technologies; Jenny Lorenz, Nursing; and Sharron Waide, Instructional Technologies, for also competing.
