MCC Hosts New York Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NYCEP) Spring 2017 Meeting
On Friday, June 9, 2017 Monroe Community College hosted the New York Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NYCEP) Spring 2017 meeting. Meeting attendees included representatives from Onondaga Community College, Niagara County Community College, Tompkins Cortland Community College, Genesee Community College, Finger Lakes Community College, Clinton Community College, Jamestown Community College, Suffolk County Community College, Erie Community College, and Monroe Community College
At this meeting, Mary Méndez Rizzo, MCC's Coordinator of Dual Enrollment, was elected as President Elect of NYCEP and will take over as President of the organization next year and serve for a two-year term. Mary has been the chair of NYCEP's Professional Development Committee since 2016.
The purpose of New York Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NYCEP) is to promote the value, quality, and advocacy of concurrent enrollment partnerships supporting greater access to higher education consistent with the mission and goals of the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP). Membership is currently comprised of SUNY Community College concurrent (dual) enrollment professionals.
