Presidential Search Consultant Visit

In its meeting on October 6, the Board of Trustees voted to retain the services of Academic Search, Inc. (ASI).  Dr. Robert E. Parilla, Senior Consultant with Academic Search, will assist the College in its search for the next president of Monroe Community College.

Dr. Parilla will help the Board assure that the national search and selection process is handled with the greatest effectiveness and that we find the best possible candidates for our next president.  Academic Search has assisted with over 800 searches since its founding in the mid-1970s.  ASI is based in Washington, D.C., and was formerly associated with the Association of American Colleges and with the Association of Governing Boards of Colleges and Universities.  Dr. Parilla has over 35 years of experience in higher education as a faculty member, dean, vice president and president before joining Academic Search.

Dr. Parilla will complete various preliminary activities, including a visit to the college on November 3 and 4 to meet with various constituencies at the Brighton and Damon Campuses.

A GENERAL SESSION for the college community will be held on MONDAY, November 3, from 12 noon – 1:00 p.m. in the Empire Room.  The college community is invited to attend this session to share their thoughts and suggestions concerning the future challenges and opportunities facing the college, and the attributes they seek in a new president.
