Bone Marrow Drive

MCC's Student Government, Phi Theta Kappa, Peer Mentors and the Admissions Office are working with the Red Cross to conduct a bone marrow transplant drive to support our colleague Joe Richardson.

Joe is a MCC graduate and an Admissions Counselor who works closely with our Nursing Department.  Joe was diagnosed in early May with acute lymphatic leukemia.  He is currently undergoing chemotherapy, is in good spirits and looking forward to his recovery and return to College service.  To support Joe and countless others in need of a bone marrow transplant, please consider participating in this drive.

The first step is gathering information about the approximate number of individuals who might be interested in participating.  You could participate in two ways:  you could be a donor and/or a financial contributor.  Your contribution would be tax deductible.  If you are interested in being a donor, receiving more information regarding being a donor, or contributing financially to underwrite the cost of testing, please call the Admissions Office at

292-2231.
