What Do Students Learn About Their Own Learning from the Writing and Research Process?

“It’s always better to wait until the last minute -- I work best under pressure.”

Sound familiar? The TCC invites you to join colleagues in a conversation based on this year’s theme, Helping Students Learn How to Learn. Bob Muhlnickel (philosophy/honors), Jennifer Marcum (biology), and Thomas Blake (English/undergraduate research) will, together with participants, examine how students can develop an awareness of how they learn when engaged in researching and writing. This discussion will include cross-disciplinary strategies that address student reflection on both the content and process of their work. Pam Czaj (library) will be on hand to share resources and answer questions about how the Library can support faculty and students in the research process. Bring your questions and ideas to this conversation!
