ESOL Students and Faculty Present at Seneca Falls Dialogues
Four ESOL students and two ESOL faculty presented this past weekend at the 6th Biennial Seneca Falls Dialogues conference in Seneca Falls, NY. Students Zoukrait Albaram (Yemen), Boudour Al Ganem (Iraq), Shams Al Saffer (Iraq), Selime Bilgic (Turkey), and faculty members Pamela Fornieri and Katie Leite hosted a dialogue titled, "Why I Wear A Hijab (Or Not)?" Each student presented their personal stories and audience members considered their own perceptions and knowledge about women who wear hijabs.
Many thanks to these students and faculty for sharing their experience and expertise, and for representing MCC at this important event.
