Mentors in Violence Prevention at MCC (MVP-MCC) hosted its 6th Train the Trainers Program on March 20-22, 2014. Twenty-four new mentors will join over 130 MVP who have completed this intense three-day program designed to empower bystanders to intervene in cases of potential violence, bullying and harassment. Our new mentors include faculty, staff, current students, alumni and community activists. Lead Trainers were Michael Johnson (DCC Student Services) and myself, and a group photo is attached.
Also attached is our new MVP-MCC Information Sheet, for those interested in joining us!
And, don’t forget, MVP founder, Dr. Jackson Katz, is visiting MCC on Wednesday, April 2nd and will be speaking on both campuses. Details are included in the attached flier. We hope to see you on April 2nd!
