Announcing the Title III MCC APPLIED IT Specialist

We are pleased to welcome Michael Rehbaum as the Integration Technology Specialist for MCC APPLIED. This Title III SIP grant integrates with Guided Pathways at MCC and supports systems to decrease student loan default rates, integrates student career and financial plans with academic pathway planning, and promotes financial literacy through understanding financial outcomes of careers and the implications of student debt.

Michael is joining MCC after working at the University of Rochester as the Director of Library Information Services for the River Campus Libraries. Before that he spent 23 years in K-12 education as a teacher and then a Director of Technology. Michael earned his Master's Degree from Nazareth College, his BFA from Longwood University and his AAS from Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In addition to his educational career, he is also a 2nd Lieutenant in the New York Guard where he serves as the recruiting, retention and public affairs officer for the 10th Area Command.

MCC APPLIED continues to progress thanks in part to all of the collaborative efforts of the workgroup co-leads and members. Michael will be a valued member of these teams and a support to the achievement of our shared goals.
