Mental Health First Aid Training for Faculty, Staff, and Administrators

The Teaching & Creativity Center, Faculty Senate Professional Development Committee, Student Services, and Human Resources are collaborating to make Mental Health First Aid training available to MCC faculty, staff, and administrators.  The training will be led by our colleague, Shannon Glasgow, LMHC.

This is an 8-hour training that teaches participants to help others who are developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.  The training helps participants to identify, understand, and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses. We will be offering the 8-hour training this month at Brighton and Damon:

Brighton: Monday, May 18 (3pm-6pm); Tuesday, May 19 (3pm-6pm); Tuesday, May 26 (3pm-5pm).

DCC: Friday, May 22 (9am-1pm); Friday, May 29 (9am-1pm).

Space is available for 25 participants at each session.

Following online registration, participants will receive an email with the specific room locations for each training session.

If you are interested in participating but cannot attend at this time, please use the RSVP form to indicate your interest.  We’ll keep your name on our list and we’ll let you know when the training is being offered again.
