On May 11th, MCC Upward Bound hosted their end of the year banquet at the Diplomat Banquet Center. Students, parents and MCC staff joined together to honor the achievements of Upward Bound’s pre-collegiate students. The banquet was also an opportunity to celebrate Upward Bound as a whole, which has achieved a 90% average graduation rate during more than a decade of operation. Upward Bound students were awarded certificates for participation in the program and academic excellence, and seniors were recognized as they prepared to move on to their college careers. Worthy of particular mention was Danielle Ryles, who was named Upward Bound’s Senior of the Year.
We’d like to extend a special thank you to the MCC staff that came to celebrate the accomplishments of Upward Bound students. MCC Upward Bound and the pre-collegiate students we serve appreciate your support.
