Rochester Biomedical Experience Students Complete Summer Research, Present Posters

Eight MCC students in the 2nd cohort of the Rochester Biomedical Experience program completed their five week summer research at MCC. As part of their program they presented summer research posters on Aug. 10 in the Atrium of the R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center.

The Rochester Biomedical Experience is a Bridges to the Baccalaureate Program between MCC and RIT. The students who will be freshmen at MCC this fall are Bakari McAllister, Mohamed Mohamed, Anil More, Brianca Parker, Brenda Ramos, Jocelyn Santiago, LaShay Sewell and Beniam Yeataihe.

Members of the first cohort of the program -- Derik Grant, Joe Jackson, Aaron Johnson, Mia Johnson and Stephanie Techeney -- presented their 2006 summer research posters at the 15th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium held in the Louise Slaughter Building at Rochester Institute of Technology on Aug. 11. The students have completed a 10 week summer research session at RIT and will begin their second year of studies at MCC this fall.
