The American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) Service Committee is excited to announce our 8th annual book drive. AAWCC is committed to aiding our community and fostering educational initiatives for women and children. This year, we will be supporting the Kindergarten-3rd grade classrooms at Discovery Charter School. DCS is in its second year and is an Expeditionary Learning school; it serves students who qualify for free or reduced lunch.
Please consider donating new or gently used books for grades K-3rd to help build a mobile library and add resources to the classrooms. Picture books, early readers, books about famous Rochester community members, and character building books are requested.
Books or cash donations (no checks) will be collected from November 26th through December 4th and can be dropped off at the following locations:
