Charlotte Downing and Melany Silas, Assistant Professor of Health and Physical Education, participated with 10,000 women from across the country in the re-enactment of the Women’s Suffrage March Sunday, March 3, 2013. The march from the Capital down Pennsylvania Ave to the Washington Monument was a centennial event in celebration of the 22 founders of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. founded at Howard University January 13, 1913.
