Purchase of Kodak Properties for Downtown Campus Nearing

As MCC and Kodak representatives prepare to finalize a sales agreement, legislation has been submitted to the county legislature authorizing the County Executive to acquire the property for the College. The legislation authorizes the purchase of 561,951 gross square feet in five buildings and an adjacent parking lot with approximately 400 spaces for $2.999 million.

Passage of the legislation requires the support of a majority of the 29 county legislators. Deliberations begin this afternoon at the 5:00 pm meeting of the Recreation and Education Committee of the county legislature and continue Wednesday at the 6:00 pm meeting of the Ways and Means Committee. The full Monroe County Legislature will vote Tuesday, February 12 at its 6:00 pm meeting. These meetings are open to the public.
