TechTip: Account (password) recovery and reset

If you've forgotten your password, don't panic, you can reset it yourself. Go to myaccount.monroecc.edu or go to my.monroecc.edu and look under the Submit button. Click on the words "Forgot your password." This will take you to our new online tool. First time, you will have to verify your identity through an email or phone number. Those employees who have been at MCC for a while may want to check and update this recovery information before you need to use it!

Update Your Account Recovery Information

  1. Open a new web browser
  2. Go to the myMCC login page at https://my.monroecc.edu
  3. At the login screen, click on Forgot your password under the "Submit" button
  4. On the next page click the blue box marked "Sign in"
  5. Sign in using your MCC email
  6. Click on Account Recovery in navigation list on the left
  7. You will see the information the college has for an account recovery email address and phone number.
  8. Update to your current information if needed! The recovery information needs to be a personal cell phone number and personal email address (not your MCC email).
  9. When you change your information, the system will ask you to confirm your phone number/email address by sending a verification text or email (depending on what you have updated). You will have to retrieve the code from your phone/email and then type the code into the form within 25 minutes. If you don't see the email, be sure to check your junk or spam folder.
  10. Enter the code
  11. Click the "Next" button
  12. A message will display to confirm that the change was successful

If you run into any difficulty, you can leave a voicemail on the Tech line at 292-TECH (8324), option 3 for Employees, option 3 to record your message.
