Records Release (FERPA)

Students wanting to submit a FERPA waiver can now complete the process completely online. The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) allows students to grant people access to their personally identifiable records by completing the survey found in Banner Self-Service under Student Records. This release is loaded into Banner where it can be viewed in Self-Service (Faculty Services tab within the Student Information menu) or in INB (SZAFRPA). The name of the person who was given access is included in the survey, and only that person should be given information about the student.

A student who wishes to end his/her FERPA release must send a letter to the R&R Office to remove the release.

If you have any questions, please contact me at RSadwick@monroecc.edu. Thanks to our Computing Department for helping make this process a reality.
