Marie J. Fetzner, Assistant to the Vice President, ETS recently was quoted in Educational Pathways. In the section related to Online Faculty Satisfaction, Fetzner states, "One of the top areas of concern for first-time online faculty (and experienced faculty) involves responding in a timely manner to student questions, and to appropriately managing the large numbers of discussion postings in an online course." Educational Pathways, Volume 1, Issue 11, October 2002, page 2.
Fetzner also was quoted in the summary document for the SLOAN-C five-day online workshop on The SLOAN-C Five Effectiveness Pillars. In the section related to the Cost Effectiveness of Online Programs, Fetzner states, "Perhaps over time we will be in a place where the use of technology in the learning process is no longer a cost center silo, but it is considered as only one of the many ways in which we provide a quality learning environment for our students."
