As many of you know MCC’s degree audit system (CAPP) uses ‘attributes’. An attribute is a 4-digit alpha-numeric code assigned to a group of approximately 10 or more courses that can be used to satisfy a given requirement. For instance, SS04 is an attribute assigned to the following group of courses: ANT101, 102; ECO 101, 111; POS 110,120, 207,220,225,230,245, PSY 101; SOC 101. If a program requires a student to choose from this exclusive list of courses, the requirement may read: “3 credits from courses in attribute SS04.”
You can view a listing of courses assigned to an attribute in self-service when you are running a CAPP compliance. You may also view attribute listings on the A – Z index on the MCC Home page under ‘A’ Attribute List or ‘C’ Course Attribute List.
